B&B Attachments Introduces KAUP Smart Load Control 2.0 to the UK Market

Next-generation appliance clamp system delivers faster handling cycles, enhanced safety and improved efficiency.

B&B Attachments, the UK’s leading supplier of forklift truck attachments and the exclusive UK distributor for KAUP, is pleased to announce the launch of the KAUP Smart Load Control (SLC) 2.0 to the UK materials handling market.

The SLC 2.0 is to be unveiled globally by KAUP GmbH & Co. KG at LogiMAT 2026, taking place from 24–26 March 2026 in Stuttgart, Germany. B&B Attachments representatives will be on the KAUP stand F07 in Hall 10, on hand to greet UK visitors and reveal the highlights of the SLC 2.0. The second generation of the innovative Smart Load Control system builds on the success of the original concept, which has already seen several hundred units deployed worldwide by major appliance manufacturers and logistics operators.

KAUP’s patented Smart Load Control technology has transformed appliance handling by automatically regulating clamping force according to load weight, significantly reducing handling damage while removing operator guesswork. With SLC 2.0, KAUP has now enhanced the system to deliver handling speeds comparable to conventional appliance clamps, without compromising load protection.

SLC 2.0 has been redesigned with fewer components, optimised hydraulics and integrated valve units, delivering operating speeds comparable to standard clamps while maintaining intelligent, weight-dependent clamping control. By eliminating manual pressure selection, the system removes operator influence over clamping force, reducing the risk of load damage. A new display and electric pressure relief valve allows for quick adaptation when changing trucks or load types, while its self-contained, plug-and-play design allows clamps to be shared across fleets without compromising the forklift’s CE compliance.

Serviceability has also been improved through simplified set-up and easier component access, helping to reduce downtime and overall maintenance costs. In addition, the integrated display records all clamping operations, with downloadable data and a dedicated test mode providing greater operational insight. Its real-time visual pressure feedback further enhances safety, particularly in high-level block stacking applications.
